The Coe Music Department presents the second annual “Faculty and Friends of Music Concert,” with guest faculty artist, Dr. Loralee Songer.

Please join us for an evening of Beethoven, Mozart, and contemporary Spanish songs. Sponsored in full by FOMAC, the Faculty and Friends of Music concert series brings together students, faculty members and community members for an out-of-the-box orchestral experience. The crux of this series is to feature Coe Music Department faculty, as well as facilitate direct student-faculty interaction and hands-on learning. We bring in Coe faculty members to play alongside their students, so that Coe students can learn about ensemble leadership by example. Further, we invite a different faculty member each year to perform as a soloist with the orchestra. This February, come see Dr. Loralee Songer perform “Cinco canciones negras” by Xavier Montsalvatge with the CCSO. Finally, we endeavor to get out of our comfort zones with this series and bring audiences new and different concert experiences. For this concert, we will perform Beethoven's Symphony No. 1 with no conductor! Come join us for a wonderfully exciting concert followed by a free reception in the Clark Alumni House.
